Job Description

S UMMARY :  
Will manage, coordinate and execute the procurement plan, including purchasing of materials, services and/or equipment for multiple departments and locations.  

  Job Responsibilities :  

• Performs all duties and responsibilities according to the Mission Statement and Core Values of the Company 
• Receives requisitions for material to be purchased
• Responsible for purchasing and negotiating pricing on materials, equipment, and supplies
• Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers  
• Responsible for maintaining trade  agreements within the   MRP system  
• Responsible for maintaining vendor information within the MRP system
• Responsible for locating new sources for products  
• Monitors for overstock in remote locations prior to purchasing additional product
• Complete s production as necessary  
• Relies on instructions  and pre-established guidelines to perform the  functions of the  job  
• Resolves variances /discrepancies with receiving and/or pricing  
• Supports with other tasks and projects as needed  

J ob Requirements:  

• Pass a criminal background check & drug screen
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, no prior experience is required for the right candidate. Alternatively, 2-4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• Purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred  
• Proficient in MS Office  
• Inventory software a plus  
• Must possess organizational skills, written and verbal skills, and ability to multi-task  
• Must be punctual  
• Must be a Team Player
