Job Summary

St. Cletus School, a Catholic elementary school in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking a faith-filled, caring, and compassionate Substitute Teacher to join our school community. We are looking for individuals who are committed to fostering a nurturing, child-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social development in accordance with Catholic values and teachings.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher across a variety of grade levels and subject areas.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, and orderly classroom environment that supports student learning.
• Supervise students throughout the school day, including during lunch, recess, classroom transitions, and other assigned duties.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and appropriate behavior of all students at all times.
• Communicate effectively with school administrators and staff regarding classroom activities and any student concerns.
• Model Christian values and uphold the educational mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

Job Requirements

• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and grade levels.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
• A positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support students and faculty.
